This blog is designed to be the central hub for everything related to my book series, Akrysmir, Daughter of Alamar®, and the broader universe that encompasses it.
What to Expect from This Blog
In the coming weeks and months, I will be pulling back the curtain on the creative process behind this mythic dark high fantasy world. This blog will serve as a deep-dive into three core pillars:
Lore & Legend: We will explore the origins of the world—from the first breath of Alunaris to the deadly precision of the Lyk, the legendary weapons of the High Elves.
Geology of The World: Drawing on my professional background as a geologist, I will be sharing "Geological World-building" insights. We will look at how tectonic forces shaped the Meanderin's Ridge and how the mineralogy of the world influences the powers of an Amethyst Mage.
Sound & Atmosphere: Music is the soul of Akrysmir. I will share the process of composing the soundtrack and using virtual vocals to give a voice to characters like Akrysmir, Isador, and Othar. More character voices are coming.
